News - HITEMP 305 hose for high temperatures


Matec's Office of Research and Technical Development, has recently developed a new type of COMPOTEC® flexible hose, specifically for loading and unloading of bitumen at high temperatures, called HITEMP "305 TWIN" HOSE.
The transfer of viscous products, at temperatures that can reach 200° C, requires the use of special materials in the construction of the hose itself, such as PTFE, silicone, glass fiber and Kevlar. To improve the durability, reliability, and ensure absolute absence of leaks, we included a coaxial interlock liner, made in steel with a smooth bore structure, in order to avoid any stagnation of the product once the loading / unloading operations are finished.
Have been successfully used for ship to shore applications, in sizes 6" $and 8" in the terminal of Piraeus, Indonesia , Singapore and Australia.
